TMZ reports the divorce the former NFL star was trying so hard to sidestep has gone through, bringing an end to a brief marriage that ended in an ugly dispute.
The time for reconciliation has passed, as Lozada gets the conclusion she asked for and moves on.
A judge in Florida signed off on the divorce early this morning...one month after Evelyn filed for divorce from the NFL star.
As we previously reported, Chad initially didn't want to sign off on the split...and waited until last week before finally accepting reality and submitting divorce papers of his own.
Johnson, who last played with the Miami Dolphins before getting released prior to the season, was arrested last month when he allegedly headbutted his then wife, and reality TV star, Evelyn Lozada.
Last week, Johnson was formally charged with one count of misdemeanor domestic battery, via Yahoo! News.
The TMZ report issues the entire ordeal stemmed from, "an argument over a condom receipt she found in his car."
Since that time, Johnson has tried to make amends and has vowed to reunite with his wife, going so far as to get a permanent portrait on his leg.

Chad has since had Evelyn's face tatted on his leg...and insists he will eventually repair the relationship.
Sources close to Evelyn tell us it ain't gonna happen.
That brings an end to a rocky relationship that plunged into awful domestic-abuse depths. For Johnson, he continues to hold out hope to make amends, as well as prove he can still play in the NFL.
His football hopes look just as grim. A CSN report recently quieted the rumors that the receiver was set to work out for the Eagles.
Chad Johnson will now have plenty of time to reflect on some awful decisions.
